I married my best friend, Joy, on June 1, 1991, and we’ve been blessed with four children—all girls except three boys—as well as five grandchildren, with two more on the way. In 2001, we moved from San Jose to Auburn, where we’ve made our home. Joy is a registered nurse working in the wellness space, and I run a small software consulting firm with two partners, operating remotely across the country. I love to play—whether it’s sports, games, or inventing new ones—especially with my grandkids, creating fun and connection wherever I can.
I attend Gold Country Church in Auburn, where I serve on the prayer and deliverance ministry team and lead a pickleball ministry. My passion is helping people break free from the burdens of their past, step into their authority in Christ, and live fully in the assignment God has for them—especially young men. I’m humbled to serve as Rector for NCTD 29, a role I never expected but one that daily reminds me of God’s greater plans. He is teaching me that He alone is enough, and I choose to live not under the earth-cursed system but as a child of the King, resting in His provision and grace.

Hello and welcome to my introduction! I’m a high school teacher, a friend, sister, daughter, and aunt. I love anything that involves trees, rivers, oceans, flowers, and rocks. I dabble in watercolor painting, making up silly songs, playing four-square, dancing, and caring for chickens. I enjoy listening to people’s stories, having deep conversations about the transformational power of God, and practicing the habit of believing the best about the people I meet—whether at the store, at work, or on the bike trail. (Just don’t ask me to talk on planes!)
I currently attend a new church I absolutely love—Radiant, located in Orangevale. I enjoy serving on the Secretariat and gathering with friends to pray for others. Lately, God and I have been talking a lot about my small ideas versus His big, beautiful ones. I’m learning what it means to trust with my whole heart and lean not on my own "figure-it-out" mindset (Proverbs 3:5–6). It’s not easy—I've spent many years leaning on my own understanding—but I’m discovering that being a child full of wonder might be just the balm my rowdy soul needs.
I am deeply honored to serve as Rector for NCTD #29. I have no doubt the Spirit will bring the truth of God’s great goodness and healing love into our weekend. He always does!
